Cost Recovery Policy

The Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation’s Board of Directors (the “Board”), through its Finance, Audit and Investment Committee, conducts regular and detailed reviews of the Foundation’s investments, policies and procedures with respect to the stewardship of donor dollars. The Board believes that, similar to other not-for-profit entities, it is reasonable for undesignated and designated donations to support a portion of the Foundation’s operational costs. The Foundation’s focus will always be to minimize the cost per dollar to meet or exceed industry standards. This policy is reviewed annually to ensure that the Foundation’s operations are sufficiently supported to maximize the ultimate goal of advancing healthcare in New Brunswick.
